DJ Endstar is a DJ originally from Gisborne who is now based in Porirua. Having been a lover of music and inspired by the movie “Juice”, DJ Endstar has always been a big fan of and participator in turntablism, kicking the passion into overdrive for the past 5 years. Not one to shy away from any genre, although wishing he had really got into the DJ scene during Hip-Hops “Golden Era”, he’s a well-established talent and supporter of the music scene in NZ!
In response to our interview questions, Endstar made it clear that he likes the nitty gritty when it comes to his work ethic saying: “I love the manipulation of music, and making a mix sound dope is the “high”! As a turntable lover, cracking a certain scratch or juggle is the ultimate for me.” It doesn’t just happen though, and he states that by following up with emphasis on the hard work behind the craft saying: “Practice never ends. Never. If you want it bad enough, work harder, get yourself out there, network, make yourself heard/known, get to know your local DJ’s/MC’s, whatever it takes.“
