#IMOL Artist: Young Villains

This year, we’re teaming up with GMG to bring you some of the hottest artists hitting the stage for #IMOL!! Rolling in numbers: Young Villains!!

Young Villains are a Hip-Hop group consisting of cocaine3000, SNOW THE TRACKGOD, LegendJlove and Purppill born and raised in Lower Hutt. Young Villains formed in early 2017 and started out just as we all have – recording in bedroom studios doing their best with the basics. That hasn’t stopped the group from gaining traction one bit. With their trap-style sound influenced by the likes of XXXTentacion and Rich The Kid you can definitely hear the direction they’re taking and how they’re going about achieving it.

In response to our interview questions, Young Villains expressed what they believe to be pivotal to being happy in what you do and how you’re doing it saying: “Go hard at what you believe in. Don’t let anybody tell you what you can and can’t do it, regardless of who it is. If you really want it, it’ll come, but great things take time.” They also laid out the direction they wish to head stating: “Our ultimate goal is to travel the world and perform in front of thousands of people like the people who inspire us.” With the ambition and drive they seem to have there’d be no reason not to keep an eye on Young Villains in years to come!!

If you want energy, dope lyricism, and to be entertained to the maximum, be sure to head on down to GMG’s next #IMOL event on May 5 at Moon Bar in Newtown, Wellington!
