D1M3 & Dylz are Hip-Hop artists from the Hawkes Bay & Wellington regions.
If you’re into a bit of old school and straight bars then D1M3 & Dylz are for you!! Skillful and elegant over any instrumental, Dylz and D1M3 have both the energy and the vibe to be chucked on in any setting be it while you’re chilling with a cold one, cleaning your house, or cruising in your ’93 Corolla while looking to score. The two blend their flows in a way that I don’t think has been seen in the NZ scene for a long time and compliment each other on tracks across the board. If you’re keen on a shaken-not-stirred throwback style with a modern day twist and smooth vocals then Dylz & D1M3 are for you.
In response to our Q&A D1M3 explained his love for tackling challenges and using hindsight as motivation saying: “I like to look back on something you initially hated but then molded into something you love! Getting off on your own shit! I’m a sucker for writers’ block and I’m very pedantic about how I write, so overcoming those challenges is a dope feeling…”. Dylz went on to drop some advice for other artists in a similar position to themselves saying: “Work on it every day. There are no days off in this industry, even if its writing raps while on the bus, or making beats on your phone while on break at work – everything counts. Slow progress is better than no progress, so patience and trusting in yourself is also a big thing I feel”
