A Melo 64 while SWIDT scoop large!!

MELODOWNZ opened up another round of David Dallas x Red Bull Studios illustrious 64 bars series this week with a killer flow! The aggressive verse mixed multiple flow switch ups alongside killer lyricism and truly is a 64 bar masterclass. If the All Blacks could spit, this is what they’d sound like. Seriously.

“Shout out to all the Polynesians out there”. Inf gave props to everybody on their grind after winning the NZVMA for best group. Up against groups such as Devilskin and legendary NZ Drum n Bass/Electronic group Shapeshifter, SWIDT managed to go large and take home the award. Notoriously winning the Best Urban Group award in 2016 it only seems fitting for them to be overall winners after the massive year they’ve had.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

Freeks has been going hard behind the scenes smashing out collabs with fellow up and comers such as Swade Wallace and Caco. Dropping previews all week, the remixes are definite quality and well worth a spin!! Catch Freeks SoundCloud HERE

Leeorify gave us access to the sickest little mix down of his best tracks in his exclusive LBB Beat Tape. Mixing Electronic vibes, RnB and other genres together to create his own unique sound you can listen to HERE

PlayBeats and THRWUP came together to create an absolute banger this week! The track, D R E A M S, has a definitive vibe that aptly suits the pre-summer season. You can cop the track and all other deets on PlayBeats and THRWUP HERE

Other than that, another massive week for Hip Hop in NZ!! We’re not looking to cover solely Hip Hop so if you’re an artist of any genre don’t be afraid to message us with your content!!
